February 20 - 24, 2017 at TD Bank
957 Marcy Ave, Brooklyn
It takes caring neighbors to ensure that no member of the community goes hungry. That’s why Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger, the largest food pantry in Brooklyn, provides essential emergency services to more than 30,000 residents in need each month, mainly children and seniors. Designed to support their clients’ dignity as well as supply nourishment, individuals can come select their own fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and other staples—much like they would in a supermarket. Now, they are continuing to raise funds to keep their services running.
That’s why, between February 20th and 24th, we rallied with the community at our 957 Marcy Ave Store. We saw lots of friendly faces, all supporting Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger. And with a little help and a lot of generosity, we provided a van filled to the brim with donated food. More than 1,000 pounds of food along with a $20,000 grant from the TD Charitable Foundation were donated. Now, Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger can continue to provide support for individuals in need throughout Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy, Brownsville and Ocean Hill communities.
