The high cost of city living can make life much harder on residents in need. In the Bronx in New York City, the Bronx Parent Housing Network (BPHN) provides temporary and permanent housing placement, and access to resources and preventative social services. They assist people living with HIV/AIDS, single parents, substance abusers, the homeless, formerly incarcerated, and physically and developmentally disabled. They are looking for funds to help fulfill their mission to enable these people to maintain permanent stable housing that is decent, safe and sanitary.
That’s why we came together with the community at the below Store locations to collect donations and supplies to support this organization. We collected over 6 bags of assorted toiletries and donations totaling $6,168.77. Thanks to local support and a grant from the TD Charitable Foundation, Bronx Parent Housing Network will be able to provide clothing, basic necessities, and school supplies for newly placed homeless families– to help end the cycle of chronic homelessness.
